As our promotion video for the main sponsorship mentions, what happened the last time a Paisley family owned company sponsored the club ? Well, we truly did go on and win the Scottish Cup 1987. And what did the legend of legends Tony Fitzpatrick say in that video to all of us – “Do you believe we can do it again” – he certainly does, we certainly do……Do you!
We wanted to try and do something slightly different as part of our Main Sponsorship, something most sponsors do not do – engage with the fans. And as devoted fans ourselves we want the same thing for our club, success on and off the park. This platform, blog and hopefully some pre-recorded monthly broadcasts will give you insights into the club post-match, detail who we believe (in our own personal humblest opinion) to be player of the match each game whilst also giving you the chance to win some goodies from pre-recorded broadcasts – so keep your eyes peeled and get interacting.
If we manage to do anything with the blog, it is simply to bring all of us together as one not just all of us current St Mirren fans but all in Paisley, Renfrewshire. The more people in Paisley, in Renfrewshire that engage with the club we believe more will come along to the stadium. There is no reason at all we cannot see St Mirren playing in front of huge 15,000+ crowds as was seen in the past regularly – we can all make it happen with our passion for the club and our town, and Renfrewshire. Our passion can radiate and entice others to come along for the ride of their lives with the best club in the world. Renfrewshire has 180,000+ people in it, why can’t we aim to have 10% of our Renfrewshire population coming to St Mirren regularly….we can all see that its already happening with near sell out crowds each week, is it pie in the sky? not at all, we can all make it happen.
